Hi, I'm Angie.
I’m 43, and I had a hysterectomy in the summer of 2025. I’d never had surgery, no major health issue, so stepping into this felt like foreign territory. I wanted a plan. I turned to the internet and found plenty of clinical bullet points, but very little about everyday life.

What I needed and couldn’t find was a non-medical guide. The human moments. The tiny adjustments that make a big difference. So I started taking notes: what helped, what didn’t, what I wish I’d known sooner. That’s what this site is—practical, kind guidance from someone who’s been there.
After surgery, I was the person Googling constantly, asking things like:

-
What should I expect in the first days after surgery?
-
How soon should I start short walks—and how long is too long?
-
What can I eat that won’t upset my stomach or bloat me?
-
When will I poop, and is it normal that I haven't gone yet?
If you’re asking similar questions, you’re in the right place. I decided to create what I was looking for: a place to share real experiences, helpful lists, and the little things I wish I had known before and after my hysterectomy. I'm not a doctor, just someone who’s been through it. And if sharing my story helps you feel even a little more prepared or a little less alone, then I’m glad you’re here.
